There are thousands of Social Networking websites we all use, but keeping up to date with them all is hard, that’s why I love Friend Feed so much!
Just simply, You create an account and then link all your sites up, Digg, Facebook, Twitter, FlickR etc- then in a nice simple format Friend Feed brings it all together in one simple page to read! Wonderful idea!

Yesterday I went to the Art Gallery NSW to see the Monet and the Impressionists exhibition.
It would have been Monet’s 168th birthday yesterday if he was still alive.
“The method of Impressionist painting, where a picture is assembled in a riot of flecks of colour, reflects the kind of experience to which the eye of a big city dweller has become accustomed.”
The paintings were beautiful with an array of mostly pastel shades; I particularly liked the Water lilies and The Seine at Chatou.
There were so many flecks of colours that some of them reminded me of the magic eye images from the 1990’s. I felt if I stared long enough something 3d might pop out at me!

Today I was talking to a gentleman sitting next to me on my fight to Sydney.
When enquring what he was doing in Hervey Bay he informed me he was consulting / working on our new Fraser Coast Waste Product Plant!
Apparently by next November we will all be drinking each others pee! (for water). OMG!!!!
Crickey wonder when that info is going to be made available to the Fraser Coast locals ?
…if we gotta drink pee, so should Brisbane and the silly hoo haa about building a dam might finally come to a stop!?

Lately I have been getting very hot when trying to sleep at night and thought I should purchase a fan to save on air-con electricity costs for as long as I can this summer.
Upon going to The Good Guys Hervey Bay yesterday I came across the deal of the year so far for me!!!! A pedestal fan with OMG (Oh My Gosh) A REMOTE CONTROL!
At the remarkable price of $37.50 with a one year warranty I was beside myself.
Now when I lie in bed and switch on my 42″ plasma with the remote, I can pop the fan on at the same time without getting up! (Quite lazy I know and who wouldn’t love it!)
I noticed Stretan Stojiljkovic has a web page on Hot Offers; I think this fan should be a definite inclusion!
*Remote Control
Height adjustable pedestal fan
Tilt adjustable oscillating head
Safety fan guard
Whisper quiet
3 speed fan
Stable base
230-240V 50Hz

Vibeke Voller came to Design House as she required a CD Cover designed for her debut album. Vibeke supplied some images and details but really was not sure what she was after visually. My first proof received the following response;
“I am absolutely thrilled about what you have already accomplished!….and so soon! I love the ornamentation. The colours and sensitive splashes of red all combine to create a very stylish visual impression.(it looks Norwegian). The picture frame effect on the red background is stunning! The page next to it fantastic!”
Let’s hope Vibeke’s album goes straight to the top of the charts!
If you would like to purchase Vibekes CD please contact her on: 0422 591 854 or email voller6@yahoo.com.au

This morning I attended a business breakfast for Fraser Coast Young Professionals.
Fraser Coast Young Professionals is a group consisting of professional and social networks that provides a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere for its members and their guests. It’s an opportunity to make new contacts, promote expertise or activities, and create business, professional and social opportunities.
Over 40 young professionals attended the
meeting at Simply Wok and were made welcome by Jeromy Bates (Europcar), Chris (Eden & Riviera Resort) and Mandy Lord (Commonwealth Bank).
Jeromy stated the group is for likeminded people and hopes it will become the premier business network for Fraser Coast individuals under 40. The group hopes to build strong friendships to keep the younger generation in town and provide activities for them.
Steve Dixon who was a guest speaker said the group was “truly inspiring” and spoke about important key life factors
such as knowing where you are going, controlling your own destiny, taking jobs that will further your career and there must be planning at every level of life stating that work is real and results matter!
Brett for Astro Alloys also made a speech and delivered a very important message, “Buy Australian during a recession!”
If you’re a young professional and interested in attending these functions make sure you subscribe to the website to be notified of upcoming events or head to www.fcyp.com.au and learn more!

One thing I’ve always noticed with American TV and Radio advertising, is how old it sounds, even as recent as December last year in Hawaii the radio ads are still so old fashioned.
Just recently as I’ve been addicted to Hulu.com which is where you watch American TV shows. The the rage lately is to eat well and stop being a fatso, the USA and Australian Govt. have both been running adverts on TV to try encourage us to eat more fruit and vegetables.
Take a look at the differences in quality in the following videos.
Childhood Obesity - Bulls Eye
I Just love the tone of the announcer, as if that wont’ get kids interested!
Childhood Obesity - Birds
Once again, that announcer knows how to get people listening.
Nutrition Education - Healthy Balance
Probably the winner out of this lot,but still pretty plain.
Australian Govt.
This Ad is OK - It’s a little more on the gloomy side of things.
